Pricing questions
What is a “synthesis” and how many will I use?
A synthesis is an AI reflection across many thoughts at once: the Sunday letter, contradiction detection, open loops, a challenge, the yearly Wrapped. Ordinary processing of a captured thought — summary, area, connections, voice transcription — never counts toward the ceiling; in Free it has its own allowance of 30 thoughts a month (thoughts are always saved, searched and connected — Insight adds the AI summaries and topics to the rest). A heavy user gets through about 30 of the 100 monthly syntheses.
What if I hit the ceiling?
Nothing shuts down hard and there are no credit top-ups. We suggest Munwyn Direct instead, where syntheses run on your own key with no limit at all. Searching your archive is never blocked.
What is a “question to your archive” and how many do I get?
A question to your archive means asking your own thoughts in plain words — Munwyn builds the answer only from what you saved and links to the specific thoughts. Free gets 10 questions a month, Insight 300, Direct unlimited on your own key. The allowance is separate from syntheses. When you run out, search keeps working and you still get the matching thoughts — just without a written answer.
Why is there no limit on thoughts?
Because a second brain you hesitate to write into is not a second brain. Only attachments are limited — photos and recordings take server space. Text never counts, in any tier.
What happens when I cancel?
Your subscription runs to the end of the paid period, then the account returns to Free. No thought is ever deleted — paid features simply go dormant. You can cancel any time, right from the app.
What if I need more attachment storage?
Add a storage add-on: 25 GB blocks for €1.99 a month (€19.99 a year), up to 8 blocks, on any tier including Free. Change or cancel the blocks anytime — nothing is deleted, you just can’t add new attachments over the limit. The text of your thoughts never counts.
Can Munwyn read attached documents?
Yes. Attach a PDF or plain-text file to a thought and Munwyn reads it — the content joins search, connections and AI summaries, just like the content behind a link. Scanned PDFs without a text layer are not read yet.
What currency do I pay in?
Your own. VAT is added at checkout based on your billing country; payments are processed by Stripe and card numbers never reach our servers.
