Munwyn terms
Munwyn has a few names of its own. Here they all are in one place — what each term means and where you meet it in the app.
Thought Free
One saved thing — a text, a voice recording, an image or a link. Thoughts are unlimited on every tier including the free one; only attachments are capped.
Capture Free
Saving a thought. ⌘K from anywhere on the web, a button, a home-screen widget or a share sheet on mobile. The type (text, voice, image, link) figures itself out.
Area Free
The bucket a thought belongs to — Work, Personal, Inspiration and others. The AI proposes one, you confirm or change it. In the atlas an area is a constellation.
Connection Free
A link between two thoughts that Munwyn found. Each comes with a match score and confirm / dismiss buttons — you have the last word.
Space Free
A separate place where thoughts live. My mind is your private one; a shared atlas and a company space are others. You switch them at the top left.
2D map (dendrite) Free
A flat branching tree of thoughts with wedges by area. Every account has it for free, with no limit on the number of thoughts.
3D atlas Munwyn Insight
The same thing in space — thoughts as stars, areas as constellations. A free account gets a preview; the full atlas with six styles and saved views is part of Insight.
Living constellation Munwyn Insight
The default 3D atlas style: star clusters around you that send each other pulses. Click a thought and a wave runs along its links.
Six styles Munwyn Insight
Living constellation, Time tunnel, Columns, Ring, Sheets and Globe — the same mind in six shapes. Star your favourite and it opens there.
Shared atlas Free
A common map for more than one person. Creating one takes Insight; joining by invitation is free.
Today Free
The entry screen of the app. Today’s five unprocessed thoughts, the growth of your archive and everything that comes back to you — insights, the letter, returns, tasks.
Insights Munwyn Insight
Patterns and observations across everything you have stored — including what kind of thinker you are. Written by AI, and marked as such.
Sunday letter Munwyn Insight
A short, calm look back at the week, delivered by e-mail on Sunday evening. It links to the thoughts it talks about.
Returns Munwyn Insight
Older thoughts and questions your mind keeps circling. Munwyn spots them and reminds you.
Open loops Munwyn Insight
Things you started and never finished. They carry over until you tick them off.
Challenge Munwyn Insight
A counter-view on request: Munwyn writes a considered argument against your own thought, so you test it instead of only confirming it.
Compost Munwyn Insight
Old unused thoughts that Munwyn gently offers you to let go of — without the stress of deleting.
Tasks from thoughts Free
“Call mum” inside a thought becomes a task on its own — with a type, a deadline and a daily digest. It stays linked to the thought it came from.
Wrapped Munwyn Insight
A yearly look back at what went through your head — how many thoughts, which seasons, what you spent the most time on.
Surprise me Free
One tap and Munwyn pulls out a thought you have not looked at for a month.
Ask your thoughts Free
You ask in plain language and the answer is built only from your own thoughts, with links to them. If nothing is found, it says so. Threads are saved, so you can carry on.
Dictionary Free
Your own names, projects and abbreviations that voice transcription should get right. It can also fix a name everywhere at once, after the fact.
Munin Personal Add-on
The meeting scribe. Record straight from the app; Munin transcribes, tells speakers apart and writes the minutes. An add-on to the paid tiers, 300 minutes a month.
The golden raven Free
The raven in the mobile app that holds quick actions — for example Start a meeting.
Keep from AI Free
A switch on every single thought. A marked thought is never sent to the model — not for a summary, not for finding connections.
AI operations log Free
A list of what the AI did: when, which operation and on which thought. No black box.
Your own key Munwyn Insight
On Munwyn Direct you attach your own API key and pay the model directly for synthesis — with no monthly limit. The key is stored encrypted and you can delete it any time.

Unlimited thoughts, unlimited search and the 2D map. Forever. You pay only for AI synthesis and the full 3D atlas.

The paid tier with the full 3D atlas, the Sunday letter, insights, open loops and more room for attachments. While Munwyn is in testing, every new account gets it free.

A cheaper tier for people who attach their own key — everything in Insight, no synthesis limit, inference paid straight to the model.

A one-off payment for the first 500 people — Munwyn Insight forever, no subscription.
Munwyn Council Munwyn Council
The company layer of Munwyn. Company spaces belong to the company and stay with it when people leave; your private mind stays yours.
Decision memory Munwyn Council
Decisions with the context of the time they were made — and an “Is this still true?” prompt as their validity date approaches.
Graveyard of initiatives Munwyn Council
An overview of initiatives that went quiet: how many days nothing moved, which came back to life and which are gone.
Contradictions Munwyn Council
Two thoughts or decisions that contradict each other across the company — with an explanation of where they diverge.
Quiet circles Munwyn Council
A vote on a decision where nobody sees your vote before they cast their own.
Company probe Munwyn Council
A free analysis of an export of your communication: what went quiet, where you contradict yourselves and how long it has been going on. The report arrives by e-mail.
